Plan on 30 seconds film

There was a brief given about this 30 seconds film project, along with this, I was instructed to pick partners for this project.

This project was a collaboration between Photography Year 2 and Music Production Year 1 at London Metropolitan University. My studio was particular picked for this special occasion. It will be such an honoured as it will be showed at the London Met Film Festival. This is a rare occasion so that I got a chance to know more about the film industry, how things work behind the scene.

I was lucky to get to team up with Guy Chackarov and Helena Adell as my Photography partners, Chevonesse Smith and Rebecca Nicholson as my Music & Sound Production collaborators.

On the day we were grouped as a team, Chuck (Guy Chackarov) was not there as he was on holiday, so only four of us - Helena, Chev, Rebecca and myself discussed and planned out the project.

To start off, we discuss how we could follow the storyboard in the most accurate way but also bring out the experience. There were many ideas going around for location (park, at home, outside, station…) and we even laid out brainstorm in order to know clearly every single stage, the advantage and disadvantage. The models were not too hard to find as Helena has some connections and who we can film in mind. The whole group agreed to film in a pub where Chevonesse works, Chevonesse has the key so we have access to the pub.

We were lucky as we easily managed to find an indoor location which is good for Sound students as they can record the sound better and for Photography students can shoot better with indoor elements. We have decided to meet up on next Wednesday to come to the pub first to feel the vibe and we can lay out the scene for ourselves better.

Everything is going on well, hopefully we can get this on track soon!
